Official Draft Maps released by the IRC
Today the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission voted to approve the next round of legislative and congressional draft maps.
These drafts are not the final maps, and with your help, the final maps will look very different. But we need you to testify!
The commission will be holding public hearings in November. You have the opportunity to influence these draft maps at the public hearings. Your testimony will directly impact what the final maps look like.
As you may already know, we have been working on completing our own state legislative and congressional maps. We have drawn these maps after getting input from thousands of Arizonans and listening to public hearing testimony.
Now that we have official draft maps from the commission, we can compare and contrast those with our own maps. That comparison will provide a strong foundation for your testimony at the November hearings.
You will be able to tell the commission exactly what the draft maps got right and what they got wrong.
These hearings are our last chance. After the commission approves final maps in December, those will be the maps Arizona use for the next ten years.
Sign up to testify today at fairmapsarizona.org/testify. If you have already signed up, we will follow up with you when hearing dates and locations have been published.
Please encourage your friends and family who care about this issue to sign up today. We need as many people as possible to testify and help us get fair maps.
